Horton by Alex Frei
Alex uses the basic principles of the Horton technique to create a class focussing on coordination, strength, isolation and balance. As a student of the Alvin Ailey School in New York, Alex is able to pass on first hand knowledge of the Horton technique. He uses a selection of the studies designed by Lester Horton to create a class with a steady healthy pace, leading to more complex and challenging sequences. He also imbues his class with his own choreographic flair, allowing for a dynamic, exhilarating and invigorating experience.

Fosse Style by Alex Frei
In his class, Alex brings together his expansive knowledge and experience of the Fosse style. He begins with a warp-up that originates from the main founders of the Jazz dance Styles such as Mattox, Luigi and Jack Cole, to prepare the body and engage the mind, and to be able to tackle the more counterintuitive isolations that dominate the Fosse style and that later appear in the class. These details are notoriously difficult to master, though with a sense of ease and humor, Alex makes it possible for all to access the sensuality, class and intricacy of Fosse. Repertoire from stage productions such as “Chicago” is introduced at the end of the session.
For female dancers it is highly recommended to wear dance high heels shoes in order to properly embody this monumental and unique Broadway style.
Dress-code: Black!

Jazz (TaraTime) by Tara Masimer
Tara’s unique jazz style, “TaraTime” inspires individual expression and powerful movement through a blend of technique and artistry. Each class incorporates a dynamic warm-up, skill-building exercises, and an expressive movement phrase, emphasizing the connection between body, mind, spirit, music, and performance. Dancers are encouraged to explore identity, creativity, and personal artistry while discovering new dimensions of their movement.
